An award-winning start-up company based in Bristol called ‘Open Bionics’ has created Disney themed bionic hands for kids in order to give them a little bit of hope and joy during the process of doing physical therapy. The project has so far created Bionic hands based on Marvel, Star Wars and Frozen characters who are very popular with children and should make the process of learning how to use the bionic hands just a bit more enjoyable.

The aim of the project was to make a usually boring and despondent process to one of hop as in a statement on their website Open Bionics stated “[Kids] won’t have to do boring physical therapy, they’ll train to become heroes”. Disney also seemed happy with the project as one of their spokesmen stated “Instead of going through physical therapy, kids will instead be able to go through Jedi training. It’s pretty amazing”

These are the profits of technology to bring hope of a brighter future and better tomorrow and it seems a lot more start-ups are working hard to give us all a brighter tomorrow and we will support them in these causes.
